John M. Lervik is the CEO of cXense and is in charge of the strategic direction of the company. His vision is to redefine how companies serve their customers, by providing an online services platform which empowers businesses globally to better understand, target, and interact with their users.
Before Cxense, John was a co-founder of Fast Search & Transfer (FAST). He served as CTO from 1997 to 2001, and then as CEO until Microsoft acquired the company in 2008. Following the acquisition, he served as CEO and corporate vice president of enterprise search in Microsoft until 2009.
In 2005, John was one of technology innovators named as part of the prestigious Forbes E-Gang. He holds a PhD from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), where he was awarded the Esso prize for the best overall PhD in 1996/97.
